East Lake Residence

Guided by the clients adventurous and rugged spirit the design for this residence – while relatively modest in scale – celebrates her love for outdoors with focused views to the mountains while clad in tough and durable materials.  The design provides carefully crafted elevated outdoor spaces for entertaining and outdoor connectivity, while prioritizing protected storage of recreation vehicles and indoor living for her beloved animals.  Set in a raw and sometimes harsh environment the concept utilizes simple forms drawing from the expansive topography stretching North to South with the Sierra Nevada Mountains defining the western edge.
